Guernsey is a lovely place to bring your family during the summer holidays. This tranquil, beautiful Channel Island is made up of wooded valleys, botanical gardens and small town life, but the coastal life has to be seen to be believed.

The kids will love it, the beaches are safe and clean, the waters are true blue, and you can adventure off into the secret coves or take off on a relaxing cliff-top walk, all while staying in the UK.

You can get to Guernsey by boat from various spots on the south coast of England such as Pool (2h30min crossing) Weymouth (2h crossing) and Portsmouth (7h crossing) or you can fly from most British regional airports, London Gatwick and Stansted and Dublin.

If you're traveling with little ones be sure to bring plenty of snacks and pack their Nintendo DSs and R4i cards chock full of games for the journey - it'll work a treat!

My new job is so complicated! I started two weeks ago and I still don’t understand it!

I work in IT in the city and I help with developing and maintaining the companies content delivery network.

It sounds complicated doesn’t it! I know what it is – it’s system of computers containing copies of data placed at various nodes of a network. But how to run it and sort any problems I have no clue about!

I have always wanted to work in IT – but I can’t see me lasting long here! It’s hard work!

I have just bought these:

My new men’s chinos

They were £85 from Asos and are by Polo Ralph Lauren. They are straight cut with a button fastening at the front.

As you can see they are beige – which I think is a really good colour for the summer. A nice t-shirt and trainers is perfect for the summer down the pub!

I also play golf so will be rocking out in them on the golf course!

Men’s jeans are big business. Here are my top three brand in jeans:

Now, why are Levi’s number one? Well whenever you think of mens jeans, Levi’s is the name that will pop into most peoples head.

They are good quality, last a long while and reasonable priced. Every time I visit America or one of my mates do I always get them to buy me a couple of pairs as they are always a lot cheaper out there.

A good pair of jeans goes a long way, as they are perfect for chilling, going out in and also for walking. It should be the staple item in every man’s wardrobe.
